What is CodeFloe?

CodeFloe is European Git hosting powered by Forgejo, with private and commercial repositories, CI/CD, Pages and package registries free within resource quotas.

Operated by devXY GmbH in Switzerland together with independent contributors, CodeFloe hosts its infrastructure in Germany. It welcomes individuals, non-profits and for-profit companies, including private and proprietary projects.

Every account can use private repositories, issues, pull requests, CI/CD, static Pages, package and container registries, and pull request preview environments within resource quotas. CI is available through Forgejo Actions or Crow CI. The infrastructure configuration and Forgejo modifications are public.

Today CodeFloe is donation-funded and all functionality is free. Resource-based paid tiers are planned but do not currently exist. Storage and CI limits apply; see https://docs.codefloe.com/usage-quotas/ and account Storage Overview for current allowances. Support is provided with best effort through the public forum, with no standard SLA currently offered.

CodeFloe welcomes AI-assisted development and states that it does not train models on stored code or sell or provide that data for model training. Repositories from GitHub, GitLab and other Git hosts can be migrated using the supported importer or batch migration tool. CI workflows, credentials and integrations should be tested during migration.
