The program is no longer updated. Last version, 7.5.26, released in March 2013, can be still bought from the official website.
ClipMate is The Ultimate Clipboard Extender for Windows.
ClipMate saves time and makes you more productive by adding clipboard functions that the Windows clipboard leaves out, such as holding thousands of "clips", instead of just one at a time. ClipMate has functions to combine, edit, and manage your clipboard data. It can also print, re-format, and even spell-check. It also has a multi-monitor screen capture, and has features for sharing clips among multiple PCs.
ClipMate 7 adds powerful drag/drop, integration with the windows taskbar, and makes pasting your data even easier than before.

Huge shame to see ClipMate discontinued. Still the best out there but is extremely outdated. I'm still giving it 5 stars for posterity, but in reality it's probably a 4 star app at this point. Still good though.

Great - needs a bit of updating and more modernizing. Uses a competent database engine at its core to allow you to create a text and image repository that is much, much faster to save than anything else. You can then search this database for any saved text or titles you assign. You can create any number of databases and have several open at once. You can export to a text and image dump for use in a general search system - here it runs out of memory and needs some attention. The full database export MIGHT be a treat if you're into that. Used to have a cool feature for multiple viewers that got abandoned - limited to a single viewer now. Lots of small tricks that are documented and at least a few that are not. It is possible to use access the DBiSam DB directly if you're into that. Is actually pretty bulletproof if you're careful - but has a few snares.

Was for years my favorite utility. I installed it on all my Window's machines. Today, however, I'm finally going to have to find a replacement. I installed another program that conflicts with it. Anytime that the other program is running, Clipmate makes a constant "thumping" sound. The only way to stop it, is to close Clipmate. I could, of course, turn Clipmate sounds off, or mute my speaker, but that kind of defeats the purpose of using Clipmate as I rely on the sounds to indicate when I've made a successful copy. The developer seemed to have quit working on the program when he got into kind of a snit because some folks were hacking his program and using it without registering. I, and many others, always paid for registering each new major update. It's a real shame that this program is no longer actively developed. It was the best!!

Have been using for eons. It allows me to preserve images (screen scrapes), text, frequently accessed urls I don't want to book mark, captures hidden url links in emails I want to verify for spoofing. It is easy, reliable, stable and far surpasses anything else I have tested.

Clipmate operates as a last-in, first-out stack. (First-in, first-out is a "queue.") Seems most natural. It has the ability to append clips together, filter them, sort by date-time, title, etc. Search. I find it indispensable. I never just delete text anymore; instead I cut it so that I can get if back if I realize some time later that I need it.

I just need a utility that will create a stack of cut-and-pastes (first in, first out) and not get in the way. Sort of Cut 3 times (A B C) then Paste 3 times and get (A B C) back. Simple as that. Will ClipMate do such a simple thing? Thanks

Can't recall how I was introduced to ClipMate, but soon after I purchased a license and I keep it current. I can't manage without it. ClipMate is like one's brain; I probably use only 10% of its capabilities, but the other 90% doesn't get in my way, and when I need something special it is nice to have it available.
Now that I am contemplating a move to Linux, I'm looking for a Linux-based clipboard manager.
