CiteFlow organizes research PDFs and their evidence in local projects. Read and highlight documents, keep page-linked notes and project notes, review source metadata, add tags and compare two sources side by side. Citation-aware copying keeps passages and citation context together in Citation History.
Exact search works without a semantic model. Optional local Semantic Search uses E5 or BGE-M3 after the selected model is installed. It is labeled beta and may miss relevant material or return irrelevant matches. An optional local OCR component helps make scanned pages searchable.
Prepare citation and bibliography drafts in APA 7, MLA 9, Chicago 18 author-date, Chicago 18 notes-and-bibliography or IEEE. Check metadata, OCR and references against original sources before using them.
PDFs, extracted text, notes and indexes remain in the local workspace. Installed reading, search and citation tools work offline. DOI auto-fill sends entered or detected DOI identifiers to CrossRef, with OpenAlex/DataCite fallbacks. Optional title translation sends selected titles to MyMemory and, on failure, Google. Update checks and component downloads also use the network.
CiteFlow supports evidence organization after source collection; it does not replace a formal systematic-review platform.
