The Roman Empire and Han China ruled at the same time. Chronarium helps you see history like that: each place, person or theme gets its own lane on one shared timeline, so what happened together lines up. Zoom from centuries to a year, and open any event into a map of its causes.

What is Chronarium?

History usually reaches us one country, one chapter, one book at a time. That hides the wider picture: what was going on elsewhere at the same moment, and how events connect.

Chronarium is a visual history timeline. Each place, person or theme sits in its own lane, and every lane shares one timeline, so events that happened together line up. Zoom from centuries to one year. Any event or period opens into a concept map of its people, causes and consequences.

Dates can be exact, circa or uncertain, and BCE works. The same timeline can be viewed as Timeline, Floor or Isometric. Timelines are files on your own computer, with no account and no cloud copy.

It runs on a Mac with macOS 13 or later, or in Chrome or Edge with no install, and one licence covers both. The free trial has every feature and needs only an email. Then it's $39 a year or $79 for life. If you don't buy, your timelines become read-only and export stays free.
