What is Chartbuddy?
Chartbuddy is the charting layer for strategy and finance. Turn your data into business charts that stay alive and editable across four surfaces: Embed for the HTML decks and dashboards your AI generates in Claude or ChatGPT, Hub as a desktop editor for Mac and Windows that you prompt from Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, Google Slides and PowerPoint from September 2026.
Ask Claude or ChatGPT for an HTML deck and every chart in it stays editable right there. Prompt from Claude Code, Codex or Cursor and the chart opens in Hub on your desktop instead. From either one, push to Google Slides, PowerPoint, Slack or Notion, and pull any chart back to edit again. One chart carries from the first prompt to the final deck, and when the numbers change you reopen it instead of rebuilding it.
Most AI tools hand you a flat image you cannot change. A Chartbuddy chart travels like an image and stays editable. Drop it in Google Slides or PowerPoint and it opens as a fully editable Chartbuddy chart. Drop it in Slack or Notion and it displays as an image, until you drag it back into Hub.
Fourteen chart types. Bar charts: stacked bar, 100% stacked bar, clustered bar, combo, waterfall, bar mekko and marimekko. Line charts: line, area and 100% area. Other: pie, donut, scatter plot and bubble. Control every detail: smart annotations, smart axes, number formats and branding. The controls consultants expect, on every chart type.
Google Slides is the most established surface. Build and edit charts natively in your deck, synced to your Google Sheets data, including chart types Google Slides does not have, like waterfall, bar mekko and marimekko. Link a chart to a cell range and recurring decks update from live data. Your first 10 sessions are free, roughly three hours of charting each, with no credit card. After that, Slides Pro is 10 euro or 12 dollars per seat per month for teams of 1 to 10. Above 10 seats, Enterprise pricing is custom.
Embed is free, including inside a product you sell. Hub is free for the first 1,000 users in 2026. PowerPoint brings the same charts natively into the deck, synced to Excel, launching in September 2026. Charts from Hub and Embed land in Google Slides as fully editable Chartbuddy charts, so you finish them in the deck.
