Beats Santora ... i think sentora looks great in the UI but lacks updates and maintenance. but great for internal and student programing. CWP is powerful and i recommend getting PRO and support. CWP free is capable but requires a lot of manual maintenance. Pro will cover that

I needed an alternative to plesk, on a faster host. I had a host, but not easy plesk, decided on centos-web panel. They offer a paid service to have the domains transferred over and the panel set up- I thought this is great!. Paid for the pro license to have security and speed enhancements.
**Cannot recommend this panel: **
-UI is inconsistent and confusing. -the paid service required several rounds of support tickets to get them to start work and when they finished nothing was set up in the panel properly. -difficult to administrate and is very confusing about how to do something basic like change the php version- doesn't work or is not intuitive to do. (they set me up on php ver 5, totally outdated)
in the end spent more time and money trying to resolve, than if I would find a slower host with a built in plesk panel or just buy plesk myself for 120 a year. Don't be cheap, spend the money and get something that works.
I have used centos-webpanel for over three years. And I echo your dislikes and disappointments concerning service requests and actually everything else you noted. I have noticed lately, they seem to have hidden certain configuration items that really force you to do the $12 mo. plan and then takes days to get them to finally fix the problem, always a configuration issue. That's why I'm here, looking for something else to move to. Can't justify Cpanel costs.... I only work with dedicated physical servers. I am not a Linux Professional Guy.
The Software is really best in all free Control Panels I tested before (Kloxo, ZPanel, VestaCP, ...)
Cons:
I've testet anything, always testing (free and paid) panels to manage my client's wordpress sites and this one is excellent.
You can manage multiple PHP versions, caching modules, work with Apache, nginx or woth (as a proxy), use mysql or MariaDB, and all is stable and very robust.
The only thing that I don't like (my personal taste) is the panel, it's a little arcaid and alow, but sites are fast and very stable.
I really recomment this option if you cant / don't want to use cPanel.
My puntuation is 9 over 10 !
