What is Cabinet?
Cabinet is a local-first “startup OS” that combines a knowledge base, AI agents, task management and dashboards in a single app. Everything lives as Markdown files on your disk (Git-backed, fully portable). You can run predefined or custom AI agents (with personas, skills, scheduled jobs and heartbeats) that work on your real files. Results appear as live pages, dashboards or embedded HTML apps. Self-hosted by default (free), with an optional managed cloud version. Bring-your-own AI providers, no data lock-in.
