Bunsho

A writing environment for novelists and series writers that tracks characters, places, objects, timelines, and world rules from the manuscript. Check one chapter, recent changes, or the whole book; each finding shows both conflicting passages, while your files remain on your machine.

A continuity finding. The two passages that disagree are quoted side by side, with a link to each spot in the manuscript.

What is Bunsho?

Bunsho is a writing app for novelists, series writers, and screenwriters who care about story logic.

It keeps a record of what your book has established. When you ask for a check, it reports contradictions with both passages quoted: the sentence that set the fact and the sentence that broke it, so you can judge the call in seconds instead of rereading six chapters.

Checking runs when you ask for it. You can check a single chapter, everything you have changed since the last check, or the whole book, and the cost is shown before it runs. Nothing watches you while you type.

Your manuscript stays on your machine.
