What is BitMappery?

Photoshop in the browser?

Photoshop ? Flattering, but not quite. BitMappery does however allow you to import photos, apply transformations, tweak filters and draw masks in a non-destructive manner. It has some overlap in functionality but is definitely a more simple product.

A BitMappery document allows you to work with multi layer content both of photo as well as hand drawn origin.

It also passes the unoffical Image Editor Test of "can-I-draw-infantile-images-with-it?" ™ with flying colours. Not bad for an application that went from first commit to public beta within a single month.

Integrates with cloud storage

BitMappery integrates with Dropbox, allowing users to select photos saved in their Dropbox folders but also to save projects, where the available storage of your Dropbox account determines the amount of BitMappery projects you can save.

Note: BitMappery is a serverless application, as such Dropbox connects directly to your machine keeping your Dropbox data private at all times.

Use of Dropbox is however anything but mandatory, BitMappery also works with local files, allowing import and export of documents on your device storage, completely offline.

Text rendering

If you wish to add text content to your collage, BitMappery also offers support for text layers with customizable font sizes and letter spacing.

BitMappery implements Google Fonts and as such offers a large range of available typefaces.

Constantly evolving

BitMappery is not a finished project and is constantly being updated with new filters, performance and UI improvements as well as being fully open source.
