What is Bigger Subs?

Bigger Subs adds animated, social-style subtitles to your DaVinci Resolve timeline in about a minute.

It reads the audio of your timeline, writes the subtitles word by word on your own computer (your footage never leaves it), picks the words that deserve emphasis, and places the finished captions on your timeline as a transparent ProRes 4444 clip, with optional sound effects on their own track.

Features:

  • 45 premium caption styles for brands, podcasts, ads and reels, or create your own
  • Automatic emphasis: impact words, highlights and level changes you can accept or change
  • 600+ sound effects synced to the words, mixed low so they never fight the voice
  • Choose how many words appear at a time and how many per line
  • Safe margins for TikTok, Reels and Shorts
  • Fix any word before placing, export SRT, censor swear words
  • Interface in 6 languages

Works with DaVinci Resolve 21 and DaVinci Resolve Studio 21, on Mac (Apple silicon) and Windows 10/11. Built by a working video editor who paid for a subtitle app that didn't deliver, and tested on long, real client projects before release.

One-time purchase, no subscription. The full app can be tried free for 2 days.
