What is Auto-Subs?

Auto-Subs is a subtitle add-on for Stremio, Nuvio, and Kodi. It finds English subtitles for the title being played, translates them into more than 30 languages, and adds the result as a subtitle track. Translations retain cue timing, include on-screen text such as signs and messages, and can offer an additional timing option for differently cut releases.

Subtitles are translated as complete files to preserve dialogue context, character names, and genders. New translations are checked before release; the first request for a title and language can take several minutes, while later requests are available immediately. Options include dual subtitles, English displayed above the translation, and retained sound descriptions. Subtitle issues can be submitted from watch history for review.

The add-on uses the standard Stremio add-on protocol and runs on a single server. Users sign in through the Auto-Subs dashboard, select a subtitle language, and add its link to Stremio. The selected language is stored on the account and can be changed without reinstalling the add-on.
