What is Autheris?

Autheris is a privacy-focused two-factor authentication (2FA) app compatible with Apple devices. It generates time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) to secure accounts and stores these password secrets on your device. It doesn't require account registration or sign-up and is ad-free.

The app is fully functional on Apple Watch, showing one code at a time with a live countdown. It's read-only on the watch, with no options for copying, editing or adjusting settings. Codes are generated directly on the watch, allowing countdown even when your phone is off. Key features include one-tap codes, pinning and reordering codes, QR scanning, time-based and counter-based codes, import options, search functionality, issuer icons and a countdown ring.

Autheris offers security features like Face ID/Touch ID Lock, content blurring when switching apps, code protection during screen recording, and secure storage of codes in the device's Keychain. It also allows encrypted backups and optional iCloud Sync, both protected by end-to-end encryption. Autheris is open source and operates without account registration or tracking. Users can install Autheris, add an account, and manage their 2-step login process.
