Aurora PDF reads, comments, fills in, signs and protects PDF files on your own computer. There is no account and nothing is uploaded, so your files stay where they are.
Comment the way you would on paper. Highlight, underline, draw with a pen, add boxes, arrows, text and sticky notes. The comments are ordinary PDF comments, so other PDF readers show them too.
Fill in forms and sign them. Draw your signature, type it or use a picture of it. For documents that need more, sign with a certificate from a digital ID you create in the app or import, and check the certificate signatures a file already has.
Put a password on a file and choose whether others may print, copy, edit or comment. Add a watermark, or headers and footers with page numbers and dates.
Black out personal data for good. Redaction removes the text, pictures and comments under the mark from the file. It does not just cover them.
Reorder, rotate, insert, extract, split and crop pages, and merge several files into one. Make scanned pages searchable in English, Norwegian and Serbian. Export to Word, plain text or pictures.
The app is in English, Norwegian and Serbian, with a dark and a light theme. The source code is open under the GNU AGPL-3.0, and a ready version that installs and updates from the Microsoft Store costs $14.99 once, with a 15-day free trial.
