It is a great Open Source software to remove DRM. 1- Use a Gnu Linux Distribution (Ubuntu/Debian/others) 2- Install Calibre (Open Source software to open and read Epub adn Pdf documents with plugins) 3- Download the .zip file from this application (DeDRM Tools) 4- Lauch Calibre 5- In Calibre Menu: choose Preferences>Plugins>Load plugin from a file 6- double click on the .zip file to install it and the DRM file will be ok
I frequently use this software to strip the deDRM of my Kindle and Adobe Digital Editions ebooks. Once the ebooks have been processed, I've been able to view them on any device and application without a problem. I'm particularly fond of the Calibre plugin, which literally makes the process as simple as drag & drop.
I often use this software in conjunction with KindleUnpack whenever I need to extract the original source materials (images, PDFs, etc) from ebooks; once I run them through Apprentice Alf's DeDRM Tools, I've had no problem running them through KindleUnpack afterwards.
helps to archive books if you have no other option than buying drm'd
