What is App-Vault?
App-Vault is an iPhone and iPad app that creates an encrypted vault for photos, files, and documents. Encryption happens entirely on-device with Apple's CryptoKit framework, so plaintext content and keys never leave the phone and there is no App-Vault server involved.
There is no account or email sign-up. Access is controlled by a 5x5 pattern that derives the encryption key directly, and a BIP-39 recovery phrase is offered as backup. The app also includes a working calculator that doubles as a disguised entry point to the vault, plus a separate decoy vault with its own independent key.
A free tier stores one file, while App-Vault Premium (weekly or yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial) removes that limit. App-Vault is published by Vastflow and is distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store.
