What is AnotherPomodoro?
AnotherPomodoro is a free pomodoro timer tool that aims to boost productivity with its minimal user interface and full customizability. It gives you a clean full-screen experience so you can concentrate on your work without distractions while it runs in your browser. The app works by setting up a "work", a "pause" and a "long pause" timer: after every few work sessions, you get to take a longer break. This can help you remain focused while you have to work and also to take short breaks periodically.
The app features three styles of timers (the "traditional" (12:34), the "approximate" (13 minutes) and the "percentage" one (50%)), a schedule view and even an advanced todo-list. The app can play sounds and send you a notification when a section is over, so you can tune it to fit your needs: go with a barebones timer or use it as your task management app. Every feature is optional.
The core parts are also highly customizable: you can set the length of each timer and the frequency of long pauses, too. The app also remembers your settings and tasks so you don't have to reconfigure it every time.
Unlike some similar apps, this one does not show ads, pop-ups, require payments, memberships or sign-ups for certain features to work (it has absolutely no sign-ups). It is also open-source, anyone can contribute to it on GitHub. If needed (and the user has the necessary development tools - NodeJS and yarn), it can also be run on your own machine.
The application is built using NuxtJS and Tailwind CSS and is served as a static website, which further ensures that no server has access to your timers and settings and no data is sent elsewhere.
