What is Agent Caffeine?

Agent Caffeine is a macOS application that keeps your Mac awake during AI coding operations. It can recognize various agents like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, opencode, Pi, and 40 more. Once tasks are completed, your Mac can go back to its regular sleep cycle.

Even with a closed lid or on battery power, the app works. It allows your Mac to sleep when battery charge is below 20% or if the device gets too hot. If an agent needs your response, the app keeps your Mac awake for an extra 5 minutes. Notifications are sent when an agent needs your attention or finishes its task.

Other features include being accessible from your phone for 1, 2, or 4 hours, a pause function, screen dimming as the lid closes, keyboard shortcuts, and the ability to add your own agents. The app doesn't collect data or require an account. It has a 7-day trial period, with a one-time purchase for lifetime updates.
