What is AfterRushes?

AfterRushes is an AI video editor that turns raw wedding and event footage into story-driven highlight films, without starting from an empty timeline. Built for wedding photographers, hybrid shooters and videographers, it automates footage review, first-cut assembly and much of the repetitive editing work while keeping the creator in control.

Import clips from camera cards, folders or multiple cameras. AfterRushes analyses visual quality, faces, camera movement, speech and music; identifies meaningful moments; then builds a narrative and cuts footage to the beat. The result is a film with a beginning, middle and end—not simply a sequence of trimmed clips.

AfterRushes is designed to help photographers offer wedding video services and to give videographers a faster starting point for professional refinement. It runs on Windows and macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel).

Free to download, with a complimentary first film using up to 100 clips and no credit card or personal AI API key required. Further projects use prepaid AI credits. An optional one-time lifetime licence lets creators use their own Anthropic Claude API key.
