Writer is unsuitable for professional work. Styling documents via format styles is painful. You cannot even delete the (very messy) default styles and inheritance is unintuitive. It is closer to Word. It assumes you want to create an ad-hoc mess. Even 25 years ago, Lotus SmartSuite hat something far better.
