Firefox 155 expands Smart Window, adds QUIC v2 For HTTP/3 connections, and fixes Linux bug

Mozilla has released Firefox 155, expanding Smart Window for users in the USA, Canada, and France. The feature offers personalized conversation starters for returning to topics users had been working on. Within Smart Window, the assistant now returns Exa web search citations in roughly one-fifth of its previous response time. Organize Tabs also suggests groups of related tabs and supplies clearer, more descriptive names.

For privacy visibility, Firefox can show its blocked-tracker count in the address bar. Users can hide that count in the settings. On Windows, Nintendo Switch Pro and compatible aftermarket controllers now work fully in web games. Firefox maps their directional pads and analog sticks correctly.

For organization and language support, users can reorder containers in the settings, with that order applied wherever containers appear. In addition, built-in translation now supports Marathi and Urdu.

On Linux, Firefox 155 fixes an issue that could stop systems sleeping after extended browsing sessions. For web compatibility, this release adds QUIC version 2 for HTTP/3 connections, and support for the WebAssembly Compact Import Section and Wide Arithmetic proposals.
