DietPi 10.7 brings new images for ARMv8 VMs & containers, LubanCat 4 support, and more

The open-source lightweight Linux distribution DietPi has rolled out version 10.7, introducing significant hardware expansion and new utility tools for its growing user base. The update brings native support for the LubanCat 4 single-board computer alongside new images tailored for ARMv8 virtual machines and containers featuring virtual network capabilities. This move strengthens DietPi's position as one of the most flexible minimal operating systems for ARM-based devices, catering to hobbyists and professionals alike who need streamlined deployment options across diverse hardware platforms.

Beyond hardware compatibility, the release introduces two notable software additions, HomeBox and Scrypted, that expand the platform's home automation and media streaming capabilities. HomeBox serves as a home inventory management tool, while Scrypted provides an extensible HomeKit-compatible video gateway.
