TV Time, a longstanding app for tracking TV shows and movies, is set to discontinue operations after over 15 years. The official announcement states that TV Time will shut down after July 15, 2026, leaving users with less than two weeks to prepare for the end of service.

Following the closure announcement, the TV Time team cited a lack of sustainability as a free app, alongside insufficient interest in a paid model, as reasons for discontinuation. Originally launched as TVShow Time, the app used TheTVDB as its data source and offered features for storing watch history, leaving reviews, and discovering new series.

For those who rely on TV Time, several replacement options are available, including Showly, SeriesGuide, Simkl, BetaSeries, and Serializd. Before transitioning, users have the option to export their TV Time data via the app's settings, utilize Simkl's, Next Episode's, or BetaSeries built-in import tool (other services like TVmaze and SeriesGuide seem to be working on a similar feature), or employ external extensions like TV Time Liberator, TV Time Out, or TV Time Data Extractor.
