Cloudflare launches Precursor for session-based bot detection

Cloudflare has introduced Precursor, a privacy-focused client-side tool that continuously monitors user interactions throughout a session to help distinguish human users from bots.

Precursor collects signals such as mouse movements and keyboard activity, analyzes behavioral patterns in real time, and integrates these findings with Cloudflare’s bot protection systems.

New session-based analytics in Security Analytics now offer insights into full visitor journeys and highlight anomalous behavior not visible through traditional per-request approaches.
