Deno team joins Cloudflare as runtime development winds down

The Deno team is joining Cloudflare to work with the Workers and Durable Objects teams on a shared platform for distributed applications.

Official Deno runtime development will end after one year of monthly bug-fix and security releases, though the project will remain open source.

Deno Deploy will shut down after six months, with migration support for paying customers moving to Cloudflare Workers; JSR will continue operating under Cloudflare infrastructure.
