Mountain Duck 5.3 adds support for Windows on ARM64 & AWS IAM Identity Center integration
Mountain Duck 5.3 is now available, letting users mount server and cloud storage as disks directly in Finder on macOS and File Explorer on Windows. This update introduces support for Windows on ARM64, broadening compatibility with newer Windows devices. AWS users benefit from AWS IAM Identity Center integration, which allows connections to Amazon S3 with temporary credentials managed through corporate identity providers, reducing reliance on permanent access keys and improving security.
Building on these enhancements, the release also enables connecting to Amazon S3 using the credential_process directive from the user's ~/.aws configuration, aligning with advanced AWS workflow practices. On macOS, the bookmark window has been redesigned to appear as a popover attached to the status bar item, making it faster to access and manage bookmarks. In addition, an indexed list of connection profiles now ensures instant access within the app’s preferences, streamlining navigation.
Finally, this release addresses over a dozen bugs, contributing to improved stability and usability for all Mountain Duck users.
