Zabbix 7.4.0 adds nested LLD, host wizard, and major UI improvements

Zabbix 7.4.0 expands monitoring capabilities by introducing nested low-level discovery, supporting hierarchical environments such as cloud services, server clusters, and Internet of Things deployments. These improvements are enabled through a new discovery prototype entity, which automates the creation of nested low-level discovery rules and supports unlimited layers, allowing administrators to represent real-world relationships more accurately. Nested host prototypes further enable discovered hosts to generate additional hosts, reflecting multi-level infrastructure setups.

The new Host Wizard guides users through host setup, including template assignment, agent installation, and check configuration. The Item Card widget provides detailed metric views with customizable fields, sparklines, trigger info, and links to navigation widgets. Network maps now support hover-only labels, scalable backgrounds, dynamic link indicators, icon layering, and nested host group support.

Dashboards gain instant widget updates, new color palettes, and a revised Global view. Inline validation is now available in key forms to catch errors in real time. Additionally, User settings add support for custom alerts and media management, and a new button lets users copy preprocessing results to the clipboard.
