Vivaldi 7.5 released with custom tab stack colors, improved tab context menu, and more
Vivaldi 7.5 for desktop is now available, bringing several highly requested features and usability improvements for both new and advanced users of this popular web browser. One standout addition is the ability to assign custom colors to tab stacks. This enhancement lets users visually group tabs by project or topic, making it easier to identify and organize workspaces at a glance.
While tab stack custom colors streamline organization, Vivaldi has also redesigned the tab context menu. The updated menu structure enables quicker tab actions, stack management, and navigation across windows. For those who manage dozens of tabs daily, these changes aim to reduce repetitive clicks and improve focus.
Following the main interface upgrades, privacy-focused users benefit from new support for custom DNS providers within the browser. With DNS over HTTPS capabilities, users can enhance both privacy and security when browsing.
Beyond these features, Vivaldi 7.5 delivers a more refined user experience throughout. Improvements include an enhanced address bar, stronger built-in ad-blocking, and better drag-and-drop for both bookmarks and notes. In Mail and Calendar, updates such as smarter threading and improved invite handling continue to polish Vivaldi’s integrated productivity tools.

The Tab Stacks are great, but the vpn is kind of a bust..Proton is just too typical to get past standard detections. I never liked Vivaldi's bookmarks layout. I found that Epic Browser suited me better w/their free built-in vpn. It's not like I have a ton of drive space so..
I used Vivaldi on my old linux machine since it is super lightweight and fast. Nowadays I use Brave, at least I switched to it few months ago when Chrome got busted with adblocking plugins and is useless atm.
I am slowly thinking of going back to Mozilla after 14ish years :P
Brave is my primary.. Fastest around, and I like Leo AI a lot.. I use Brave when I don't need a VPN.
