Steam for Mac becomes fully native on Apple Silicon in beta update
Steam for Mac is now a native Apple Silicon app. This transition, quietly introduced in a recent beta update, eliminates the need for Rosetta 2 emulation and brings significantly faster launch times, improved scrolling, and smoother navigation. The update is timely, given Apple's plans to deprecate Rosetta 2 in a future macOS version. The Chromium Embedded Framework now runs natively, further reducing performance bottlenecks for Apple Silicon Mac users.
