Home Assistant 2025.6 adds Bluetooth visualization, improved dropdowns & more integrations
Home Assistant 2025.6 has been released as the latest version of this open source home automation software, delivering a new Bluetooth visualization feature that helps users see how their Bluetooth devices connect, whether directly or through a Bluetooth proxy. This graphical mapping aims to simplify device management and diagnostics for anyone with a complex smart home setup.
The update marks a shift in platform support. The Core and Supervised installation methods are now officially deprecated, signaling an end to new support and updates for these approaches. Additionally, legacy 32-bit CPU architectures will no longer be supported, affecting users on older hardware who may need to consider upgrades.
This release also brings improved dropdowns, known as pickers, to most areas, and continues to enhance the experimental area dashboard that debuted in April. Home Assistant 2025.6 further expands its integration catalog with support for Amazon Alexa, Immich, and Paperless-ngx. Rounding out the update, users will find sidebar refinements, extended sensor features, improved backup functionality, the ability to join or unjoin media player groups, and other workflow upgrades.
