Copilot Pages now open to all users with real-time collaboration and chat integration
Microsoft has launched Copilot Pages for all regular users, expanding its availability beyond the Microsoft 365 user base since last year. Copilot Pages serves as a persistent, editable canvas within the Microsoft Copilot Chat environment. It is designed for multiplayer collaboration, enabling multiple users to co-edit content simultaneously.
Users are able to transform Copilot Chat responses into structured insights that can be saved, edited, and reused for future projects. Pages content can also be shared through direct links or sent via Microsoft Teams, Outlook.com, or the Copilot app. Coupled with this, Copilot Pages is accessible across platforms, including web, mobile, and within the Teams environment. Users can employ Copilot directly within Pages to generate new content, rewrite or summarize existing text, and create elements such as tables and checklists.
While teams can use Copilot Pages as a unified space to gather and refine project materials, Microsoft is further planning updates that will allow Copilot Chat to reference Pages artifacts and enable chat interaction within the Pages canvas. Copilot Pages follows concepts similar to OpenAI's Canvas, but it is built specifically for integration with Microsoft 365 and does not currently support code tasks.
