Adobe will soon switch some users to a pricier Creative Cloud plan with expanded AI tools

Adobe has rebranded its Creative Cloud All Apps plan as Creative Cloud Pro for users in North America. Following this change, Creative Cloud Pro includes all the original creative applications, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Lightroom, along with continued access to web and mobile versions, plus fonts, storage, royalty-free stock assets, and more. But this new plan also includes some important additions.

The Pro plan now offers unlimited access to standard image and vector generation features, including Generative Fill in Photoshop. Users can also take advantage of additional generative credits for premium video and audio creation, create multiple boards in Firefly Boards, and, for the first time, use third-party generative artificial intelligence models in Adobe Firefly, such as OpenAI GPT image generation, Google Imagen, Veo, and Flux.

With these expanded capabilities, Adobe is raising subscription costs. The individual Creative Cloud Pro plan will now cost $69.99 per month (instead of $54.99/month), the student/teacher version is $39.99 per month, and teams will pay $99.99 per month. These changes will take effect for current members starting June 17 at their next renewal.

For users seeking a less expensive alternative, Adobe also offers the Creative Cloud Standard plan. This option provides access to the main desktop apps and 100 GB of cloud storage, but offers only limited generative AI features and reduced web and mobile app access.

Everybody: Maan I hate that every piece of software shoves AI down my throat.

Adobe: You have the privilege to pay us to shove AI down your throat.
