Raycast makes its AI features available to everyone, with multiple models to choose from

Raycast has launched version 1.96 of its Mac launcher and productivity app, introducing Raycast AI to all users. This update provides 50 free messages for AI Chat, Quick AI, and AI Commands, accessible without a subscription or account. Users can now leverage a range of AI models, including OpenAI’s o3-mini, Google’s Gemini 2.0 Flash, and DeepSeek’s v3, for quick answers, writing enhancement, and context-aware assistance using natural language.

The update also expands support for large language models, incorporating OpenAI’s GPT-4.1, GPT-4.1 mini, GPT-4.1 nano, Google Gemini 2.5 Pro, Meta Llama 4 Scout powered by Groq, and DeepSeek V3 powered by Together. Additionally, Raycast 1.96 introduces a Storage Duration preference for screenshots, allowing users to set a shorter duration that automatically moves older files to the trash daily. Users can also select a primary action for screenshots, choosing between Copy to Clipboard or Paste to Active App.
