Popular web browser Vivaldi now integrates Proton VPN for enhanced privacy
Vivaldi has announced the integration of Proton VPN into its desktop browser, enhancing user privacy without the need for additional downloads or updates. Proton VPN, known for its robust privacy features, is trusted by journalists, activists, and privacy advocates. Both Vivaldi and Proton VPN emphasize their European roots and commitment to data privacy, distancing themselves from Silicon Valley and China's data practices.
To activate Proton VPN in Vivaldi, users must ensure they have the latest desktop version, click the VPN button on the toolbar, log in or create a Vivaldi account, and toggle the switch. This integration aims to deliver a superior online experience by combining Proton VPN's capabilities with Vivaldi's customizable and user-focused browser environment.

I don't know if I like this change. I was taken aback when I saw the update automatically installed the VPN extension. This is easily turned off and removed, and I'm still a fan of Vivaldi in general (mostly for the amazing tab management).
