
Penpot 2.5 released with a revamped gradients UI, shareable board links, and much more
Penpot, a free and open-source interface design tool and a popular alternative to Figma, has released version 2.5, bringing several enhancements and bug fixes. The update introduces a revamped gradients UI featuring multi-stop and radial gradient support. Users can now share links to specific boards, enhancing collaboration.
The update allows users to copy and paste CSS styles and shape styles, including fills, strokes, and shadows, as well as copy text content to the clipboard. Additionally, users can resize boards to fit content and rename selected layers using board names.
User interaction improvements include sidebar filters, visual changes, and enhanced notifications for comments and mentions. Additionally, the file status indicator has been redesigned and relocated for better accessibility. The release also addresses an internal bug affecting the handling of media assets, alongside other minor improvements and bug fixes.
