Google Partners with Freepik to Launch Veo 2, Revolutionizing AI Video Generation
Google and Freepik have partnered to launch Google Veo 2 in Freepik AI Suite, Google's latest and most advanced AI video generation model, known for its exceptional realism and smooth motion. This partnership makes Freepik the first platform globally to integrate this version of the model.
Users have noted that Veo 2 surpasses other popular competitors like OpenAI's Sora and PikaLabs 2.0 models in terms of quality and realism, supporting ultra-high-resolution video generation up to 4K and producing content lasting several minutes while reports highlight its ability to simulate physical effects, character movements, and facial expressions with remarkable accuracy. Initially announced by Google in December, the API's release was confirmed for early this year, with Freepik's integration marking its first official use.
Google also recently announced that Veo 2 will be added to YouTube Shorts, enhancing the Dream Screen feature for creating videos from text prompts. Freepik is offering a limited-time promotion where the first 10,000 registered users get two free video generations through the Freepik Studio platform here.
