Samsung Internet for PC beta launches with cross-device syncing and Galaxy AI

Not tired yet of the new wave of browsers launched in recent months like Perplexity Comet or ChatGPT Atlas ? Well, you’re in luck, because the next one on the list is Samsung, which has just released its well-known Samsung Internet browser in public beta for PC, available for Windows 10 and Windows 11 users in the United States and South Korea. This marks its first appearance on desktop, bringing the mobile experience to larger screens with full cross-device syncing for bookmarks, history, and Samsung Pass credentials through a Samsung account. You can also pick up your browsing session right where you left off across devices.

The beta includes Galaxy AI, featuring a new Browsing Assist tool that can summarize webpages and translate text directly within the app. Samsung Pass allows secure sign-ins and autofill across devices, maintaining the same privacy standards already found on Galaxy phones.

Privacy options include Smart Anti-Tracking to block third-party trackers and pop-ups, plus a Privacy Dashboard to monitor and manage protections in real time. Anyone interested can join the beta at browser.samsung.com/beta, with a wider release expected after further testing and improvements.

I will keep telling everyone: I've never analyzed more privacy-invasive hardware devices than Samsung phones and Samsung TVs. It's the only thing that ever kept me from using any of their tech myself.

Google should really make a generic agentic Chrome version, for theses companies to make their own with only few lines of configuration to add. This would save millions dollars. Then companies could then focus on marketing:

"We've added pop-up blocker like IE: Let's introducing the 'Smart Anti-Tracking'!"

"Also a new Do Not Track option: Here our 'Safe Internet Exploring'!"

"And finally a cookie manager with automatic cleaning: The brand new 'Intelligent Personal Health Training'!"

I can't wait for big exploits hidden in image or just even text to poison these new gen browsers

Investors in VCs are usually greedy and stupid. They are just gamblers with too much money. And to attract gambler you need a coat of exciting polish on your product. AI is the best polish since blockchain days.
