Blackmagic Camera 2.0 for Android adds multi-phone control, extended device support & more
Blackmagic Design has unveiled Blackmagic Camera 2.0 for Android, expanding compatibility to select Android tablets such as the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Samsung Tab S9, alongside the latest Samsung S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra smartphones. This update introduces the capability to remotely control and monitor multiple devices concurrently over the same Wi-Fi network. Users can designate a device as the controller, allowing them to adjust settings for all Blackmagic cameras, view multi-camera shots, and synchronize recording operations.
The update also enhances functionality by supporting high-frame-rate capture at 120 and 240 fps on compatible Sony Xperia devices, and introduces compatibility with Tilta Nucleus USB devices for lens control. Additionally, users can now drag-select multiple media clips, and the app includes support for the German language. General performance and stability improvements are also part of this release. Blackmagic Camera 2.0 for Android is available for free to download/update on the Google Play Store.
