OpenProject 14.5 released with ability to restore local backups, new export modal and more

OpenProject has rolled out version 14.5, introducing several noteworthy updates to this open source project management software. Key among them is the ability to restore local backups within the WYSIWYG text editor, enhancing the user experience for editing work package descriptions or wikis. The export modal for work packages has also been revamped, offering a more intuitive interface with added settings for exporting lists as Gantt charts. Users can now customize columns directly from the modal, streamlining the export process.

Administrators will benefit from a new feature that allows activating storage for multiple projects simultaneously, simplifying large portfolio management. Additionally, a former enterprise add-on is now available to all users, enabling filtering and sorting of project lists by custom fields, further enhancing customization capabilities. Version 14.5 also includes various other new features, minor enhancements, and bug fixes.
