Microsoft Teams adds conversation pinning, enhanced file management & LinkedIN integration
Microsoft has rolled out new features for Microsoft Teams for Personal communities, allowing owners to pin and unpin conversations via the More options (…) menu, making key discussions easily accessible. A new Files tab has also been introduced, consolidating all shared files within a community for better file management.
Screen sharing has been improved, allowing users to grant control of their computer to another person during meetings. A new indicator signals the start of screen sharing, and users can enable control transfer by clicking "Give control" from the presenter toolbar.
Additional updates include customizable notification sounds for Windows users and LinkedIn profile integration. Users can now personalize their alert sounds and view LinkedIn profiles by hovering over a person’s name or avatar, provided their email is visible on their Teams profile. Access to LinkedIn information requires a one-time login.
