1Password Business to launch new admin controls in September 2024

1Password Business will introduce four new administrator controls on September 10th, 2024, with the Suspended Users policy automatically deleting suspended users after a set time to ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR, while the Account Creation policy will prevent employees from creating personal 1Password accounts outside verified company domains, providing a centralized way to manage account creation and allowing admins to verify multiple domains and redirect sign-ups to the organization’s 1Password accounts for smoother onboarding.

The Invitations page has also been redesigned to simplify navigation and enable bulk invite actions, facilitating the rollout of 1Password to large teams. This update also prepares for a future feature that will allow customized onboarding emails, aligning communications with the company’s brand.

Additionally, the new Employee Vault Reporting feature enhances 1Password Business Watchtower by offering a high-level view of security issues across all Employee Vaults without revealing specific employee data. This tool helps identify vulnerabilities such as weak passwords and insecure websites, enabling admins to address potential threats swiftly.
