LibreOffice 24.2.5 released including over 70 bug fixes and compatibility improvements

LibreOffice 24.2.5 has been officially released and is now available for download. This fifth point update in the 24.2 series includes 78 bug fixes, addressing issues such as crashes and regression problems. The release also improves interoperability with legacy and proprietary document formats.

Official binaries are available for DEB and RPM-based GNU/Linux distributions on the official website. Users with LibreOffice installed from their distribution's software repositories will need to wait until the update is available there.

Initially released on January 31, 2024, LibreOffice 24.2 introduced a new calendar-based version numbering scheme, along with new security and accessibility features, and improved interoperability with Microsoft 365 Copilot.

I hope that they will update the interface. Against very aggressive competitors as OnlyOffice (free and nice design), I am affrayed LibreOffice is losing the battle…

Nice to see the team still active. I wonder which version I should deploy thought, maybe the LTS release of LibreOffice has less bugs.
