Anthropic launches Claude mobile app for iOS with chatbot and image analysis features
Anthropic has finally released a Claude mobile app for iOS, introducing chatbot capabilities and direct photo upload for image analysis. The app extends the platform's accessibility beyond its website and third-party libraries. Scott White, Anthropic's product manager, highlighted the high demand for mobile access and announced plans for an Android version.
The Claude iOS app features seamless syncing with web chats, vision capabilities for real-time image analysis, contextual understanding, and mobile-centric use cases on the go. The app is free for all users, including those on the Pro and the newly launched Team plans. Introduced alongside the app, the Team plan offers group access to Claude models for $30 per seat per month. Subscribers gain extra features like increased chat queries and a larger context window for complex discussions and document analysis. Administrative controls are included, allowing easy switching between Pro and Team subscriptions.
Anthropic's Claude 3 models, introduced in March, come in various sizes to cater to diverse user needs, and with these new versions, Claude stands out as an even more compelling alternative to other existing mobile AI apps like OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or the recently launched HuggingChat mobile app.
