Popular publishing platform Ghost plans to support ActivityPub to join the Fediverse

Ghost, a widely recognized publishing platform, has recently announced its plans to federate over ActivityPub, aiming to “become part of the world's largest publishing network”. The move will allow Ghost publishers to distribute their work across the Fediverse, the world's largest decentralized network.

The company stated in their announcement, “At Ghost we've been interested in publishing networks for a long time, but as you have come to expect from us after over a decade of releasing open, decentralized technology that puts people first: We're doing things in our own way.”

Ghost's decision to integrate with ActivityPub follows the footsteps of other companies such as Flipboard, WordPress, and Meta with Threads, who have also opened their platforms to the Fediverse.

However, Ghost has indicated that it will take some time to ramp up efforts to make their platform compatible with other federated networks like Mastodon. More updates will follow as more information becomes available.
