BusyCal update brings enhanced Office 365 syncing, improved GPS location, and more
BusyCal, a powerful calendar application for macOS and iOS, has announced the release of its 2024.2.1 version, introducing several new features and enhancements.
The highlight of this update is a new beta syncing mechanism for Office 365 accounts. BusyCal 2024.2.1 leverages Microsoft Graph API, the latest sync offering from Microsoft, to enhance performance with Outlook. The update also extends support for personal Outlook accounts over Microsoft Graph and improves push sync support for Office 365 accounts.
Another notable feature in this release is the automatic conversion of what3words (W3W) location names into GPS coordinates when inputted into the location field.
BusyCal 2024.2.1 further introduces custom time zone names and a new column type that displays descriptions for recurring events. The smart filter list has been enhanced, along with improved sorting capabilities.
The 2024.2.1 version has also improved syncing with Apple Calendar and Apple Reminders. German users will benefit from better natural language detection, and the snooze alarms functionality has been enhanced.
The new release concludes with stability and performance improvements, as well as bug fixes, further boosting the overall user experience.
