Clipchamp introduces new audio features and enhances text-to-speech functionality
Clipchamp has introduced new audio features, as announced on the Office Insider blog. The features allow users to insert audio recordings directly into videos from the app's Record and Create tab. Users can record and edit audio clips of up to 30 minutes within Clipchamp's timeline interface.
The platform has also improved its text-to-speech feature, giving users the ability to add text-to-speech track items to their projects. This updated feature offers control over language selection, voice modulation, emotion adjustment, pitch alteration, and script editing. The speed of the text-to-speech audio can also be adjusted.
The new features are currently available for Personal Clipchamp accounts, with a rollout for commercial accounts underway. Microsoft has hinted at a forthcoming feature, silent removal, which will automatically remove extended periods of silence in audio tracks. This feature is set to debut in February for Personal Clipchamp accounts and will later be exclusively available for Clipchamp Premium subscribers.
