Brave launches native ARM version of its desktop browser for Windows

Brave has launched a native ARM version of its desktop web browser for Windows, improving both performance and compatibility for ARM chip-based computers. Emulated browsers on ARM systems often face problems like decreased performance and increased energy consumption, but Brave's ARM-optimized browser aims to overcome these issues.

Brave's senior director of DevOps, Mihai Plesa, vouched for the stability of the ARM64 version for Windows, highlighting its native performance. The ARM version carries all features present in the x64/x86 versions, such as Widevine, IPFS, and Tor.

The native ARM version of Brave can be downloaded from Brave.com, the Microsoft Store, or GitHub. Other browsers like Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox also provide native versions for Windows on ARM, with Google Chrome's native ARM version recently launched in one of the lastest Windows Canary update.
