Google enhances Android Bluetooth tracking protection with new privacy features
Google has unveiled enhancements to Android's Bluetooth tracking protection features. The existing unknown tracker alerts, which notify users of unfamiliar Bluetooth trackers moving with them, have been upgraded for quicker and more frequent alerts. Additionally, two new features have been introduced for Find My Device compatible tags.
The Temporarily Pause Location feature allows users to halt location updates from their device for up to 24 hours, offering an added layer of privacy by preventing the use of their location by detected unknown tags. Additionally, the Find Nearby feature assists users in locating the tag by guiding them to its location if an alert is received. These updates aim to enhance user safety and control over unwanted tracking.
