OpenProject 15.0 released with improved Activity tab and SAML & OIDC admin interface

OpenProject has released version 15.0 of its open source project management software, introducing several new features and improvements. The update enhances the Activity tab within work packages with a new timeline design, enabling real-time loading of comments and notifications without page reloads. Users can now react to comments with emojis, aiming to improve collaboration and communication.

Version 15.0 also introduces a SAML and OIDC administrative interface for Enterprise Cloud customers, allowing them to independently set up Single Sign-On (SSO) options. Previously, such integrations required support from OpenProject, but now customers can manage the setup and access debugging tools themselves. This enables users to log in with their existing accounts, streamlining the authentication process.
