Proton launches a family plan for Proton Pass, with shared access for up to six members

Proton has introduced the Proton Pass Family plan, enabling up to six family members to share a subscription to its suite of privacy-focused services. This launch follows the Proton Duo tier, which catered to two users, broadening Proton's offerings for larger groups. Each family member receives a private vault for personal data and access to shared vaults for common passwords and emergency information.

The plan includes Proton Monitor, a feature that alerts users to digital safety issues such as data exposure and weak passwords. It also offers unique email addresses with unlimited aliases for privacy, two-factor authentication for security, and secured sharing options with cloud storage.

The introductory price is $3.99 per month when billed annually, valid until October 23, 2024, after which it will increase to $4.99 per month. Existing users with a $1 per month lifetime deal can upgrade at a discounted rate of $2.99 per month.
