Proton Pass now offers secure credential sharing via AI access tokens for your AI agents
Proton Pass has launched AI access tokens, enabling users to securely share credentials with AI agents while restricting access to only what is needed. Every credential request by an agent must include a reason, and all uses are logged, giving users detailed visibility into agent activity and intent.
Following this update, users can generate tokens directly in Proton Pass settings, allowing for quick deployment of AI-powered workflow automations. These features are available at no extra cost on Pass Plus, Pass Family, Pass Professional, and Proton Workspace tiers.
In addition to sharing, Proton Pass allows users to segment credentials into dedicated vaults, facilitating granular access control. Audit logs for every credential use are easy to review, offering transparent monitoring. In addition, tokens can be set to expire automatically or revoked at any time to maintain strict access control.
Users who wish to automate operations outside of AI agents can also use access tokens with their own scripts and automation tools via the Pass command-line interface. The new tools simplify management when multiple credentials need to be shared, while strengthening oversight and organization.

Sounds interesting. But, I will never share my password with an AI agent.
